What the papers said

'His voice is powerful and carries an amazing range demonstrated beautifully in "Maria from West Side Story".' - The Stage

'Vocalist Mitchell Armstrong was experience personified as he strolled out on stage without fuss. You don't get that many male vocalists singing somewhere Over the Rainbow but on this evidence, maybe more should. Having created the persona of a "sex symbol", he then turned himself into Tom Jones. I am sure Tom would have allowed himself a wry smile had he caught this tribute.' - Derek Smith - The Stage

'I am sure Mitchell Armstrong will not object to being termed an experienced performer. He has a strong personality, and massive but not over bearing confidence, plus some sharp humour, his lung power impressively demonstrated in excerpts from both Phantom of the Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar.' - Peter Hepple - The Stage

'A paucity of props could not diminish this delightful Fagin. His comic ability coupled with a voice which at times astounds. Leaves audiences in no doubt they have seen someone special.' - Encore Magazine
